September 2023 is here, and I had two months to work on other projects before the start of the new school year. I had albums to release, videos to create, and textbooks to publish. I’ve been working on some rhythm exercise books and wanted to post them on my Patreon page and publish them on Amazon, Lulu, and JW Pepper MyScore.
My goal for the summer was to get my books ready for publishing on different platforms and create videos showing the process. Not being a YouTuber, it takes me an extremely long time to make a simple video. I figured some of my students might be interested to see what they can do with the music theory they are learning in their lessons through my studio.
Some of my students are interested in writing sheet music, and with the opportunities today, you can do so much more than when I started. Publishing print music in the ’80s and ’90s was more complicated than it is today. I hope to share this adventure in publishing with my students and have some videos up before the new year.
